IV STS Italia National Conference – Scholarships for PhD, Post-Doc, Junior Researchers
For the IV National Conference in Rovigo – 21-23 June 2012, STSItalia, thanks to a contribution from CIGA, offers 15 scholarships for PhD, Post-Doc, Junior Researchers to allow them to take part to the STSItalia National Conference.
Each scholarship will cover costs for two nights lodging (the 21st and 22nd of June 2012), for the social dinner and for the conference fee.
Scholarships can be requested by those who, members of STSItalia for the current year (2012), have had their abstract accepted within one of the tracks (to join STSItalia, please visit: http://www.stsitalia.org/?page_id=52&lang=en ). Convenors (if PhD, Post-Doc, Junior Researchers) may also apply for the scholarship, only if the cost of attending the conference is not covered by their University.
Requests can be made by sending an e-mail to 4convegnosts@gmail.com from the 20th of March (day of the notification of abstract acceptance) to the 8th of April 2012.
REQUEST FORMAT:
E-mail requesting scholarship must contain:
– as subject: “Scholarship request – [last name]”
– as body, the following information:
- Name
- Last Name
- Academic affiliation (if none, personal address will do)
- Date of birth
- Present position
- Title of the accepted abstract
- Title of the track
– as attachment:
- a CV
- the accepted abstract
Certifications or other kinds of documentation could be asked in addition.
Scholarships will be awarded by taking into consideration: interest and originality of the abstract, its relevance in relation to STS issues, CV, distance of the applicant’s institution from the venue of the conference, age, gender.
